We are piloting innovative irrigation solutions aimed at maximizing water use efficiency in arid conditions.
Trials of Superabsorbent Polymer
We use Aquasorb 3005, a superabsorbent polymer produced by SNF, in our research to maximize water efficiency.
The goal is to determine the optimal quantity and most effective application method for SAP. At the Arediou site, we launched the initial trial with three test groups and one control group, each containing 10 trees, using different amounts of polymer.
The next phase—a larger-scale experiment—is planned for the Pera site, currently in the design stage.

Targeted root irrigation
The goal is to further decrease water losses to evaporation and weeds. We are testing dripping irrigation combined with perforated tubes to deliver water directly to the root zone of trees.
